HOW TO RECYCLE PAINT – 3 WAYS

1. Door-to-door pick-up service for residence in certain areas of Colorado. If you live in Arapahoe, Adams, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas or Jefferson counties in Colorado and have used paint containers that combined, held at least 10 gallons, you qualify for free pickup. If you don’t live in these areas, or have less than 10 gallons for disposal, please use one of the following two options.

TO ARRANGE A PICK-UP: Call us at (720) 854-8722 or fill out the form and we’ll work with you to arrange a pickup day and time.

We pick up and recycle old paint, stain, and varnish for free! We can handle both oil and latex paints, but not spray paint. All paint disposals handled by GreenSheen are sustainably recycled.

2. Drop-off paint at GreenSheen. You can drop-off any amount of latex and oil-based paints at any of our locations.

3. Drop-off paint at a retail site established through PaintCare. Note, some sites might limit how much paint you can drop off at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Does GreenSheen really pick up and dispose of my paint free?

Yes, this service is 100% free. There are absolutely no strings attached.

How can you afford to pick up my paint for free?

In Colorado you pay a fee each time you purchase paint that goes toward its responsible disposal. GreenSheen receives a fee from this fund for each pickup we do. We also turn your used paint into high-quality recycled paint, which we are able to sell at very low prices.

How does GreenSheen dispose of my old paint?

GreenSheen has a manufacturing process that transforms your old paint into high-quality recycled paint that is then re-sold to be reused. It’s a great way to close the loop and prohibits harmful chemicals from entering our landfills.

What happens after I contact GreenSheen?

After you’ve filled out the contact form above, we’ll call you to arrange the best day and time to pick up your paint.

Where can I dispose of paint near me?

If you live in Arapahoe, Adams, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas or Jefferson counties and have used paint containers that hold at least 10 gallons total,  you don’t need to go anywhere to dispose of your old paint. GreenSheen picks it up and recycles it, free. If you have less than 10 gallons, or live outside one of these counties, you can try one of our paint drop off sites.

Do you take spray paint?

Sorry we do not take spray paint at this time.
